Of course, the chassis represents an upgraded unit of the current-generation F-150, with notable reinforcements that ensure better towing and hauling capabilities. But the new generation also accentuates its hard-working nature more than ever, with styling that looks bolder, meaner and more massive compared to the half-tone relative.
On the inside, things are completely different. Although a super capable hardworking pickup, the 2024 Ford F-250 SuperDuty will continue with a pretty stylish interior design, which utilizes modern aesthetics and quite a decent selection of materials, which gets even better if you pick some of the higher trim levels. Speaking of the trim level organization, it also remains largely unchanged, so let’s take a closer look:
Trim Levels and Features
Of course, the offer will once again start with the XL trim, which is a typical workhorse, with steel wheels, vinyl upholstery, and similar things. But actually, the list of standard equipment is surprisingly long. Even this most basic F-250 comes standard with heated and power-adjustable towing mirrors, power windows, door locks and remote keyless entry. On the inside, you get an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration and Wi-Fi hotspot, which is amazing.
The XLT adds several upgrades, starting from alloy wheels, foglights, cloth upholstery, and a power-adjustable driver-seat. As usual, the Lariat combines convenience and reasonable price. So, the standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, ventilated seats, rear parking sensors, ambient lighting and a set of tech features that includes a bigger infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, premium audio system and many more.
The rest of the range includes some pretty luxurious trim levels, including King Ranch, Platinum and Limited, which all gradually add more and more standard equipment, along with exclusive styling details.
2024 Ford F-250 SuperDuty Engines
One of the biggest novelties for the 2024 Ford F-250 SuperDuty is that the base 6.8-liter features FuelFlex technology in all variants, which means no matter which model you get, it can run both on gasoline and E85 ethanol. The numbers remain the same, so this V8 engine continues to deliver 400 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The first upgrade comes in the form of the XLT, with a 7.3-liter V8 that puts out 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque.
Of course, there is the diesel version a – good old 6.7-liter V8 that now comes in two output variants. The first one is rated at 475 horsepower and 1.050 pound-feet of torque. The high-output version, reserved for the highest trim levels only, raises the bar to 500 horsepower and quite a magnificent 1.200 pound-feet of torque.
All engines come standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission, while all models except for the base XL feature standard four-wheel-drive.
