General Motors could pack the huge SUV with a slightly lighter configuration – a 4.2-liter supercharged V8 can do 550 horsepower.
Suburban is one of the largest SUVs in the market. It is a long-wheelbase version of the Tahoe. Ford also offers Expedition with a LWB. Soon, the Excursion might become the biggest SUV, based on the heavy-duty F-250 truck.
2025 Chevy Suburban Specs
There are already two V8s available to buyers of the Suburban. The base model is equipped with a 5.3-liter mill capable of producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard all across the lineup. A rear-wheel drive is a default setup, and you can also pick a 4WD. Instead of a 5.3-liter displacement, you can upgrade the ride with a 6.2-liter mill. It can deliver 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. However, only higher grades are offering this plant.
The 2025 Chevy Suburban is going to offer another option – a diesel powertrain. A 3.0-liter turbo engine is still not discontinued and the SUV is one of the rare models with an oil burner. The Duramax unit can create 277 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Surprisingly, it can’t tow more than a 6.2-l V8. Three drivetrain options are more than enough for the vehicle with 50k sales per annum.
2025 Chevy Suburban EV
General Motors is electrifying everything. The company unveiled an electric truck. Since the SUV is based on the same platform as the Silverado, we might see the 2025 Chevy Suburban EV built on the same architecture. According to announcements, the truck can tow 10,000 pounds in the base form, while a dual-motor configuration could double the figures. Power output starts from 500 hp. Electric range of the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban EV should be around 250 miles. The vehicle is possible, although the company is not announcing it officially.
SuperSport Package
An electric future is inevitable. Sooner or later, the Suburban EV is going to join the lineup. On the other hand, fans would like the SS model more. For this money you get a hands-free liftgate, 10-inch screen, Bose audio, and heated front row with leather seats. The RST won’t enhance the specs, but the overall look of the large SUV. Suburban becomes sportier thanks to unique 22-inch wheels, black fascia and seat stitches in contrasting colors.
The 2025 Chevy Suburban Z71 is the model for off-road drive. A two-speed transfer case is perfect for low-range gearing. Skid plates protect the underbody. A 4WD is standard. With a price tag of at least $70,000, we can call it a premium package. There are two more trim levels above this price. Premier and High Country are packed with high-end features and upscale materials. A 6.2-l V8 is standard, as well as unique bronze details, HUD, 360-degree camera, Bose audio with more speakers, and buckets in the second row (seating capacity is 7).
2025 Chevy Suburban Pricing
Prices of all kinds of vehicles are going up. Nowadays, full-size SUVs cost more than $50,000. With a long wheelbase and 225-inch long body, the 2025 Chevy Suburban will be around $60,000. For example, Tahoe can save you $4,000. High Country is the most expensive build, for now. If you want something more luxurious than that, the Cadillac Escalade is taking the premium feeling to the next level. The Suburban SS will be above $100k.
