2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon: Expectations and News

The RAM 2500 is a heavy-duty truck based on a body-on-frame platform. Designed especially for heavy-duty loads, this truck can also handle rough terrain and open roads. The Power Wagon is a trim that is specially designed for customers who want a luxurious interior that is combined with RAM 2500 capabilities. The 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will receive an interior redesign like all trims in the RAM 2500 lineup. But we expect some new technology inside the cabin and a few interesting features.

The new refreshed 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon is expected to hit the market at the end of 2024. With a starting price of $73,000, that will be a slight rise from the previous year’s model. This truck is expected to change the luxurious heavy-duty truck market and offer a unique premium trim.

2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon Specification

This trim will come with one engine option. That will be the 6.4-liter V8 Hemi engine that will be able to produce up to 430 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The power will slightly rise from the previous year’s model thanks to new ECU tuning. Also, we expect slightly better fuel efficiency. The engine will be paired with a new 10-speed automatic gearbox that will make this truck even more fuel efficient and, more importantly, more quiver and responsive. The power will be delivered to the all-wheel drive, and this will be the only configuration available for this trim.

Also, there will be only one cabin configuration, which is a crew cabin, and one length of the box, which is 6’4″. Thanks to its powerful engine and rugged construction, the RAM 2500 is one of the most towing-ready trucks on the market. The towing capacity for this model will be 15.200 pounds, and for the payload capacity, we expect 3200 pounds, which is also one of the most capable models in the class.

2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon Interior

The interior of the 2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon will have plenty of luxurious and tech upgrades. Some of them will be premium leather seats that will offer seating positions for up to six people. Also, seats will offer heating and venting options on the first row and just heating on the second. The driver will get a 12-inch digital driver gauge and a steering wheel with a heating option. On the center console, we will find a new wireless charging pad with an option for two phones and a new 12-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. This system will support Apple Car Play, Android Auto, navigation, and Bluetooth options.

The premium interior will not be the star of this model. We expect to also see advanced safety features. Some of them will include:

  • Adaptive Forward Lighting System
  • Forward Collision Warning with Active Breaking
  • Departure Warning with Blind Spot Monitoring
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Parking Sensors
  • 360% View
  • Trailer Control with Light and Rear Trailer Camera

2025 RAM 2500 Power Wagon Changes

As we already mentioned, the two biggest changes to the upcoming model will include the introduction of a new 10-speed automatic gearbox that will improve driving capabilities on the truck and fuel efficiency. The second one is a refreshed interior. That refresh will include a new front fascia with a new grille design and a new headlight revamp. Also, the 2025 model will come with new color options and a new rim design. Typically, this model will be available with 20-inch rims, but we expect an option for 21-inch premium-style rims. The few noticeable changes will include new car software that will get a new graphic, and from RAM, they promise us that the new interface will be more responsive.

What competition will this trim meet?

The competition in this segment of luxurious working trucks will include the 2025 Chevy Silverado High Country trim, which will come at the same price but offer a more luxurious interior with more features. The RAM will win with a more powerful engine and a more capable truck. The 2025 Ford F-250 will be available in Lariat trim, which will become more expensive, but it will offer a diesel powertrain with impressive towing capabilities and more customization that will allow customers to define trucks according to their needs.

There will be two more heavy-duty models available: one will be the GMC Sierra, and the other will be the Nissan XD. The Nissan will offer the model with the lowest price, but it will come with a cost of towing capabilities and an interior that can’t pair with RAMs. And the GMC Sierra will be available in Denali trim, which has become a synonym for luxurious models. This model will come with unique styling, a powerful engine, and nearly the same working capabilities as the RAM 2500 Power Wagon.
