A 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to rear wheels and GM is finally using independent rear suspension.
An alternative is available for high-end models. A 6.2-liter V8 can provide 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. It is standard for the High Country trim, while you can also pick it for the Z71 off-road package. The same 10-speed gearbox connects engine and wheels. A diesel is dropped from the lineup. That makes room for upgrades.

The SUV is one of the favorite big rigs. The full-size segment is pretty popular and uses large and powerful engines, which makes them good for some high-end upgrades. The redesign is ongoing, so the SUV could be launched soon. It is happening next year for sure. The 2025 YM is probably planned for the fall. The price goes up, that is another certain thing. The base version is tagged at $55,000. Expect a new one close to $60,000 and the Z71 is around $75,000. The electric model should start there as well. If the Tahoe SS happens with a supercharged V8 engine, massive outputs, and all other body parts that will help in handling all that power, the SUV is entering a six-digit price realm.
